Alberto Cipelli, CEO of the Espressa company dedicated to the importation of Lavazza products in Spain, has visited the AZTI facilities in Derio to know more about the Life ECOFFEED project and analyse potential synergies.

Firstly, the objectives and expected results of the Life ECOFFEED project have been addressed, as well as the different challenges and schedule to achieve them. After that, a round table has been established in which the main topic has been the need for a more efficient use of the resources.

In this sense, the importance of initiatives, such as the Life ECOFFEED project based on the principles of the circular economy, which increases the competitiveness and sustainability of both the coffee sector and the livestock sector has been highlighted.

The meeting ended with a visit to the AZTI facilities in which it was possible to verify the operation of various drying technologies and a final commitment to update the obtained results during the project.
